Rainbow Cape Camino

This is the second colab “walk your way” Rainbow Camino with the Cape Camino

Last year we did it over two days and had a really amazing experience discovering so much we would not see unless you are actually walking, looking and connecting with your surroundings and your fellow walkers/pilgrims.

Cape Camino founder Gabrielle and her daughter Peggy, as a two woman team have been hard at work in getting people to experience the diversity of the Cape through the concept of a walking experience similar to the Camino De Santiago in Spain.

The idea of the Rainbow Camino came about discussing how acceptance is a key factor for many varied people of Cape Town and South Africa, with a key focus on the LGBTIQ+ community. This year the focus is more widespread and focused on the diversity of South Africa and the world at large.

This year the Rainbow Camino takes us along the most popular of their routes Wine to Water which is a 18 km relatively easy and mostly flat walk through the Constantia Valley and ends off in the seaside town of Muizenberg with it’s surfer and Bohemian type culture and flair.
